All deliveries must be kept track of, and information flow must be smooth. System is to be used minimum 16 hours a day. Online connectivity is not possible due to remoteness of locations and other logistical problems.

  • Tool built to calculate most efficient delivery route from city to city, allows for allocation of route by any means of transport.
  • Costing mechanism that works in tandem to assess cost of each delivery.
  • Batch based data transfer mechanism to transfer updated data to the main system.

Case Two

Initial Conditions
Customer runs a large warehousing and storage facility over multiple locations. There are several points of entry and exit.  Goods must be tracked according to type and location within the warehouse. There are several types of billing schemes, with multiple parameters. Operations run 24 X 7.

System Delivered

  • Take incoming entries in less than 30 seconds, is fault tolerent, and has speedened up the process by 500%.
  • Billing mechanism is flexible allowing for new schemes to be introduced at any point of time.
  • Tracking of goods by location, and merging billing for different shipments etc is also a breeze.
  • Reports are delivered realtime to the managers.
  • Customers will also get billing based details on request without any delays, thus reducing payment clarifications and delays.

Warehouse Management

  Case Three

Initial Conditions
The client needed to get POS data from delivery vehicles that travel over a large distance. As a retail distributor of several hundred products, it was imperative to know the exact levels of inventory to be stocked at the main warehouse. However it was difficult to account for the moving inventory in the trailor trucks.

Moreover, due to the variety of  products, finding the right product in the trailor itself is a task. The inventory gets tallied only after the vans get back to the warehouse, and even then it takes hours.

System Delivered

  • Works on PDAs for all the vehicles that have inventory.
  • Connects using GPRS on the local GSM network, transmitting live data about each transmission.
  • All transactions are transmitted and verified with the live system at the warehouse. The inventory information is also updated in real time,  and there is no stock tally to be done at the end of the trip.
  • The Route given to the vehicle can also be updated realtime, so that desinations can be modified, added or deleted.
